Top 5 Things to Look Forward to in 2016

Happy New Year! Are you feeling sad that 2015 is over, or are you relieved that the year has finally passed? Whether it’s been a good or bad year for you, 2016 is another whole new beginning for all of us. We have many things in store for us this year. From new movies to Euro 2016 for the football lovers, to the US Elections for those interested in politics, this year is bound to be an interesting and great year! Here are the Top 5 things you can look forward to this year!

1. Launch of Netflix

Yes, you heard it right. Netflix, the popular content streaming company is set to launch its service in Singapore in early 2016. You can now ‘Netflix and chill’ with your friends and family. Bored at home? No interesting shows on TV? Simply go on Netflix, pick a show and get comfy with your favourite snacks next to you. What shows are you looking forward to watching on Netflix?

2. Euro 2016

Football fanatics, get ready! Euro 2016 will take place in France, from June 10 to July 10. Remember to mark your calendars with the match dates, and prepare for those late night matches. For those who aren’t into football, prepare some ear plugs for yourselves. You might need them to block out loud cheers at night when the matches are happening. 3. Election 2016

The elections are back once again. The US may be far away from our sunny island, but you can’t deny that people here are still interested in the US elections! It’s always interesting to know about other countries and it’s good to know a little politics. I bet many of us are wondering who the new president will be!

4. Finding Dory

Remember your childhood movie, Finding Nemo? Have you missed it? Fret not, Finding Dory is the sequel to the 2003’s Finding Nemo, directed by Andrew Stanton. The movie is set to be released on June 16, 2016. Make sure to catch it in theatres with your friends and family, and relive those childhood memories!

5. Leap Day

Last but not least, we have Leap Day this year! What’s not to love about an extra day in a year? Hooray for those whose birthday falls on a Leap Day because their official birthday is finally here! We’ll have to wait for another four years for the next Leap Day, so make sure you spend Feb 29 wisely and make full use of it! How are you guys planning to spend the Leap Day this year?
